Parent Newsletter

 

To keep you abreast on the University news and activities a semiannual magazine called Niner Nation Family is twice a year.

 

Additionally, there is an electronic newsletter called Relatively Speaking sent monthly. 

 

Family Programs

 

Niner Nation Family was developed to help family members stay involved with their sons and daughters and to develop their own connection to the University.

 

We will keep you informed about critical campus news, dates to remember, resources to foster your student’s academic success, a host of exciting events taking place on our campus. Should you ever have questions or concerns, we are your support system.

 

Family Weekend

 

Each fall parents and families have and families have an opportunity to visit UNC Charlotte and participate with their student in many activities, such as athletic events, programs provided by students, informative presentations, and visit with faculty and staff.

Family Day

 

Every Spring Family Day is occurs in conjunction with Homecoming. At this time, we invite family members of current students to campus for a day to experience UNC Charlotte. Families gather to enjoy our beautiful campus, eat delicious food, win fabulous door prizes, meet some faculty/staff, and cheer the 49ers on to victory in their annual Homecoming basketball game.

 

The date for this event is released in the fall. Registration for Family Day is open to all parent and families for a nominal fee.

 

 

Membership

 

Staying involved through Niner Nation Family  programs and actively supporting the Niner Nation Family, you have the opportunity to ensure your student has an exceptional experience in higher education. In addition membership to Niner Nation Family entitles you to:

• Campus discounts during various University events

• Opportunities to volunteer and participate in University programs and events
